You can, but we recognize that is not possible for everyone. HoldOn bags are designed to reduce traditional plastic waste, no matter how you take out your trash.

We recommend storing your bags in a cool, dry area to keep them in tip-top shape and experience their optimal strength and performance.
Will HoldOn bags break down in my cabinet or in the box if left unused?
They will not! However, due to the nature of their material, we recommend storing the bags in a cool, dry area and using them within 6-9 months of purchase for optimal strength and performance.
Can I use HoldOn bags in a vermicompost?
Yes! HoldOn bags (with the exception of our Tall Kitchen 13 gallon bags) can be used in a vermicomposting environment as they have been tested and certified by the TUV Austria institute for home composting.
