Technical brushes:

Hand brushes from PFERD are quality tools for surface treatment. They are suitable for brushing work such as cleaning, derusting and cleaning weld seams. Depending on the design, hand brushes are used on surfaces, in hard-to-reach areas such as angles, corners and pipes or in the food industry. PFERD offers brushes for processing a wide range of materials: steel, stainless steel (INOX), cast iron, plastics, non-ferrous metals and many other materials.

Steel wire is the most common filament material. Brushes with steel wire fill material are particularly suitable for light surface finishing and deburring work. PFERD special wire has a high tensile and bending fatigue strength. This ensures optimum wear of the wire and a long service life, even in extreme brushing applications.

Advantages:

In order to meet the special requirements for processing stainless steel (INOX), PFERD uses wire grade 1.4310 (V2A) for all INOX brushes. Practical experience from the industrial environment confirms that it has very good corrosion resistance with an optimum service life. All PFERD brushes with INOX fill are marked blue and are suitable for use on all stainless steels (INOX), such as V4A. Wire grade 1.4310 tends to behave ferromagnetically when work hardened, i.e. it is attracted by magnets. This is due to a change in the microstructure caused by deformation, e.g. during wire drawing. This has no effect on the quality and corrosion resistance of the INOX trim. It retains its corrosion-resistant properties.

Brushes with brass wire fill material are suitable for special applications, e.g. surface finishing on workpieces made of copper and brass. Brass wire is softer and more flexible than steel wire. PFERD uses CuZn37 wire quality for all brushes with brass wire.
